Country Manor Pihkala is a versatile rural tourism business situated in the village of Kestilä, located in the municipality of Siikalatva, in Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland.
In the old days there were several inns in Kestilä where guests would be fed and accommodated. At Pihkala these old traditions are continued and the company offers exclusive surroundings for various occasions such as conferences, parties and ceremonies.
Natural peace, versatility, genuine service… Pihkala is all this.
Pihkala is one of the oldest estates in Kestilä. The estate began providing travel services in 1983. The last of the estate’s cows left their barn in 1992 and thus Pihkala became a full-time rural tourism business.
In the beginning of 2005 Pihkala was passed over to the next generation. During this transition the rural manor Pihkala was turned into an incorporated company out of which the Pihkala farm/riding school was separated and formed into an individual company. The rural manor Pihkala Oy is run by Tarja Hietaharju. The old farm owner Veijo Riikonen is still involved in the business as a member of the board and as the caretaker of the manor. Veijo’s oldest daughter Leena Lötjönen runs the Pihkala riding school and farm together with her husband Timo Lötjönen.
The people of Pihkala wish you a warm and heartfelt welcome to Pihkala!
